Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – In a meeting with the officials of Iranian committee to commemorate the anniversary of January 9 demonstrations in Qom during Shah's time, Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani remarked, "The Iranian people must support their revolution and always stay vigilant in order to fight the enemies' plots and defeat the corrupt front."
The Shia source of emulation further noted that people of Qom had a key role in the history of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution and this role continues to this date; the senior cleric then quoted some narrations from Ahlul Bayt (as) to highlight the significant position of Qom throughout the history of Islam saying, "Qom is called Qom because it's the place where masses attend different gatherings and these gatherings will continue to be held until the reappearance of Imam al-Asr (as).These gatherings are held to show support for Islam as well as the revolution."
Reiterating that people must be vigilant in the face of enemy and their conspiracies, the Shia scholar added, "People's vigilance and cautiousness neutralizes enemy's plots."
"The Iranians must realize that so long as they firmly stand behind their Islamic Revolution and their supreme leader, the enemies cannot do anything to undermine this country."
"I warn the enemies that the revolutionary people of Iran are always prepared and will not stop supporting their supreme leader." Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani concluded.
